Fred Williams – London Drawings
Key Points:
• Looking at the wonderful and skilful drawings of Fred Williams you will learn how to create a series of expressive drawings whilst learning how and why Williams drew in the manner he did.
• You will discover ways to sketch with power and expression in an inspiring environment whilst Luccio gives you ways of drawing that may open up whole new possibilities for you.
• You will also learn easy and fun ways to capture city life by drawing from Williams’s theatre and urban images.
• You will explore how to quickly capture gestural depictions of subjects capturing their essence whilst filling up on new and exciting approaches to drawing. This exhibition is filled with great opportunity for learning to draw with a bustling and dramatic style.
• A great class to gain lots of new skills whilst learning about a great Australian artist in a friendly manner and with an international artist renowned for his drawing skills and award winning artwork.

More about Marco and his teaching
Luccio is a renowned international artist with a strong drawing based art practice.
He has mentored and taught beginners and advanced for many years and has been described by many as an artists artist.
He is know for having a very relaxed teaching style that caters for all levels.
Born in Benevento in 1969, Luccio arrived in Australia in 1974.
He has an Honors Degree in Printmaking from RMIT Melbourne where he was first introduced to teaching and selected as lecturer for the part time students whilst he was still a student himself.
Luccio has held 50 solo exhibitions, 208 group, curated and award shows and received several commissions.
Luccio has had several solo exhibitions in New York.
Luccio’s work is represented in 42 public and corporate collections, including the New York Public Library, the Museum of the City of New York, The New York Historical Society, The National Gallery of Australia, The National Gallery of Victoria, The State Library of Victoria and The City of Melbourne.
His work has been shortlisted for many major drawing awards including twice for both the most respected Dobell Drawing Prize and the Adelaide Perry Prize for Drawing amongst many others.
